700 turbo / squeak or chirping noise at idle

On my 1990 740 turbo wagon there is a squeak or chirping noise when idling after the engine is warm. It gets progressively louder as the engine gets to normal operating temperature and is only noticable at idle around 750 rpm. I thought it was belts but the sound is coming from the rear of the engine. The belts are all new. Any ideas?
