So I drove my '80 245 DL with a M-46 to 7-11 last night for some midnight snacking needs.
However, when it came time to leave, the car wouldn't start.
Lucky for me I was close enough to home that I was able to walk. With the help of a friend of mine that keeps similar odd sleeping habits, I was able to tow the car home.
Now, I'm not sure what to do from here. The car will turn over forever quite well, but it just won't fire. Checked for spark, it's there.
My guess is that it's the fuel pump... There is plenty of fuel in the tank (I had just added quite a bit earlier in the day.) I checked the fuel pump fuse, and it looks like it had gotten quite hot, as it's slightly melted... Replaced the fuse and it made no difference however.
Is there anything else I should check?
Thanks as always.
