Well at least that what I was told. The 96/965 wagon did have a skip I changed the intake gasket had the Injectors cleaned new plugs then put a power stage on for the back three plugs. All that helped but the skip was still there are that is what it felt like to me and others that I had to drive the car.The 965 had no power and was worse at 2500 RPM's My wife finally said that she was tired of driving it and that I needed to do something even if it was wrong.
You guy's know that sitution. It turned out to be the rear trans mount that made the car feel as if it was skipping. Now the car is as smooth as it can be drives like a new one has plenty of power and the wife's happy too.
It took me over a month to find the problem. The old mount when I took it out fell in two pieces and I wanted to throw it across the yard but then I new that one of the boy's would run over it with the lawn mower and that would be something else to fix. Keep this in mind when searching for that skip are what feels like a skip.
Thanks,
Rodney
