can't find thermal cutout switch (b21ft) 200 1982

Hi,

I have a 1982 b21ft that I recently replaced the wiring harness on, but I didn't connect the wire for the thermal cutout switch (NOT the thermal time switch that controls the cold start injector, but a switch that grounds terminal 7 on the lambda computer when the engine coolant temperature is below 59F). I tried to find the switch on the block and reconnect the wire today, but it was not where the Bentley manual says it should be.

Bentley says this switch should be directly below the CIS temperature sensor, below the number 4 intake runner. However, it is not there on my block, and neither is there a boss for a sensor. If someone knows where this switch is located, I'd really like to know! I think either there is a mistake in the Bentley manual, or volvo made a change in the block starting in '83, or my block is not a b21ft block (which i doubt).

Thanks!

Eric
