Speedometer HELP?!?! 700

1990 760 T sedan - lost my alternator belt today and drove it till the battery literally died. Replaced the belt and jump started the car. Everthing checks out fine but the speedometer. Right before the car died the speedo took a wild swing and now won't move at all.

Any ideas??
