Timing pulley gave way at start, all valves bent. Bought a used head from wreck yard, not knowing that I also had to get the same "Valve Cover" from the same engine. We put everything together and fired the motor, while running we took a temp reading and we realized that the temp at one end of the head is rising rapidly we killed the engine and contacted our Friends at the Volvo shop. we were told that the head and the camshaft and cover has to be from the same engine.
I gave the original head to one of guys and he went and sold it to the scrap yard. Now I am left with a good head, but with wrong cover. Is there a place that can match the two?
