Driveshaft interchange between 740 and a 760 700

I have a '87 740 wagon with a 4 speed/Overdrive that has drive shaft vibration. It has always had a bad thunking underload since my family got the car in '88 but recently it has picked up a bad vibration at freeway speeds. I also have a '83 760 sedan parts car 4 speed/Overdrive. The drivetrain was fine when the drive shaft was taken out. Could I swap it in to the wagon? I haven't had any luck finding drive shaft lengths and since the weatherman is forecasting freezing rain and snow I was hoping to find an answer without freezing myself to the underside of my car.
