Tough Decision 200 1982

I have a very tough decision ahead of me, and I'm looking for any kind of honest, unbiased advice.

I have a blue 1982 242 and I love it. I essentially learned to drive with this vehicle and have owned it for about 7 years. I love this car, I have learned everything I know about cars and working on cars from this vehicle, and I am very much attached. My problem, though, is that I have not been using this car lately. On Thanksgiving, 2003, I picked up a new job and my Volvo dropped its exhaust. This wasn't a huge deal, but after looking at the requirements of the job (lots of driving) and the few small problems that the Volvo already had, I realized that it would be foolish to use the Volvo as my main vehicle and it would essentially be cheaper to get a new car - so I picked up a new, more reliable car. Since then, my Volvo has seen very little use and it is basically sitting there. I feel bad about letting the car just waste away, but I also feel like one day, after I make some money and have more time, I'll fix up the Volvo. I just can't see that time coming anytime soon (a few years, probably).

As I see it, I have two options for this car:

I can try to continue storing the vehicle or I can give it to somebody who will use the car and treat it with the care it deserves (not a local high school student). Any advice? Any ideas on the costs of storage (I'm broke right now, just FYI)? Any ideas on how much somebody might give me for the car?

Thank you for any advice you can give me. Ideally, I'll keep the car, buy a home within 5 years with a garage, and tear down and rebuild this car to be a beauty... but I am in a financially difficult position right now and I want to know my options.
