getting ready to replace my head, received my new elring head gasket set today and there seems to be a lot of 'extra' o-rings here?
there are 3 sets of 4 small orings/seals of different thicknesses that I cannot figure out where they would go? also 2 copper or brass washers?
also, should I install the head or the new water pump first?

p.s. thanks to Ivan & rule 308 for your previous input, the problem with the lumpy idle was a burnt exhaust valve on the # 3 cyl. pulled a whole new head at the pick your part yard since my original head has close to 300K miles on it and the spark plug was stuck on #3.... got lucky and found a wrecked 88 with only 159K miles!
