I store my Volvo 244GL in the garage each winter with full tank of gas, but I'll start it up every Sunday for 10 minutes. This past Sunday, I started it and everything went smooth, but after about 120 seconds, it died. I started it again, but this time it started and barely roared, so I gave it some gas and it died. I smell gas very strongly under the hood, but no signs of liquid in the engine and on the floor. I had my wife start it up while I look at the engine. It did the same thing, started up, but no get-up-and-go , she gave it some gas, then it died again. The timing belt, spark plugs, wires, points & cap are fairly new, within the past year. Air filter, oil and trans fluid are all fine. The Fuses all look good. Again, it will start, but barely stay started and then first push of the gas pedel, it dies.
Could it be the MAF Sensor (between the airfilter and the engine)?
