240 gt or 240 turbo? 200

Hey all, i just wanted to ask you the difference between the 240gt and the 240 turbo. I have a chance to buy both right now and wanted to know differences and similarities. The cars are a 1979 242 gt and a 1981 242 turbo. Is the gt just a 'turbo' without the turbo? I read on the boards that the gt handles better, is this true? Thanks in advanced...
