One of 'em's got to be broke. I replaced both motor mounts about a year ago...but I'm not eliminating the right side oil filter mount yet...
I crawled under the car and the rear tranny mount is attached to the tranny w/ two bolts....then one other bolt that attaches the tranny mount to the cross member. I can't tell if the mount is shot or not. It looks bulgy. It's wet with tranny fluid from the tranny seal leaking. Is it causing my shifter in the car not to engage properly in Park?? I don't know.
Also...how much clearance should there be between the oil filter and the motor mount? I'm willing to take the car off of the jack stands and do some measuring. I just don't want to replace a mount that's not the cause for the Auto shifter not properly engaging into Park. Like I mentioned in an earlier post...you can move the shifter in and out of all the positions W/O depressing the lock. The grooved latch plate down inside the shifter well hasn't moved. The only thing this can be is either the motor mount or the tranny mount. Just looking at both of them doesn't give me much to go on. The only thing I can say is that I did replace both motor mounts about a year ago with ones that I bought from either eEuro or FCP. (can't remember).
Anyone got a good measurement?
