Perhaps my problems are simple....maybe not.
I bought an '82 244 4-cyl-auto(2.1) for $200. 81K miles
The car drove three miles every morning, three miles
back all it's life. It never got a shot of oil in the
hood hinges, door hinges, oil changes seldom, no maintenance
whatsoever and hail damaged.
It runs like a three-cylinder geo metro yet uses fuel
like a 427 dual-quad chevy. I have to wash the exhaust smog
from the back of the car today, and just changed maf sensors
(done before). Plugs recently.
The distributor was so frozen-up it broke when I attempted to
time it.
I changed to the "other" distibutor.(non chrysler)
I changed timing belts, which was particularly mind-boggling,
becuz with the cover and balancer off ..very challenging,,,!@#$%^&*_)(*&^%.
This puppy will start at -15 degrees in under two seconds.
Runs 80 mph effortlessly at tremendou$$ co$t
Any suggestions Al Bernstein? or anyone else?
Thanks
