can't nail down my cold start/ stalling problems...ecu? in-tank pump? 900 1993

93 940 Turbo (223k miles)

I am about at my wits end with this problem. I recently stalled out while on my way home and had to pull over twice in rush hour traffic. It would start again after about 15 minutes and then run ok. I had this prob once before while moving from Texas to LA. I have also had an ongoing cold start problem. The colder it is, the longer it takes to start. I have done alot of work trying to fix it....new fuel pump and filter, new fuel pressure reg, new ect and connector, new fuel pump relay, new plugs, distributer cap/ rotor. I am getting a 1-2-3 code and a 2-2-4 code still and my check engine light comes on at every start (goes out after a few minutes).

I would feel safe that it's my ecu, exept for the fact that I've been having some weird elect. probs as well. Occasionally I'll get a "bad bulb" warning light when I use my blinker, but all the bulbs check out. I also hear a mild whining sound thru my stereo at times. Also, though I'm almost sure this is unrelated, I pop a fuse every time I try to adjust my passenger side rear view mirror.

I know this is alot of info, but I don't want to replace my ecu if a bad ground will screw with the new one.
