red and white coil wire .....please read!!! 700 1987

Hello all,

This is my first post at brickboard. I am a frequent user of turbobricks, but ran into a question I think will be better suited for this site.

Let me start with the complete story. I had a 86 740 turbo wagon, which I took the motor and wiring harness our of and put into a 87 740 wagon. When I went to wire up the coil I could not find the blue and red and white wires? So I took them off the 87 wiring harness I was not using due to very poor insulation through out the harness. I have been researchinig for 3 days trying to figure out were the red and white wire go when they leave the coil.

So, when the red and white wire come off the coil do then run into a plug on the coil side and then run across the firewall into another plug and then into the power stage. Or do they go straight from the coil to a plug behind the strut on the drivers side and then into the power stage?

I don' t have a plug for them to run into on the passenger side of the car if they should run into a plug on the passenger side.

On the drivers side behind the strut tower I have a big plug which I think is were the blue wire run into. And a smaller plug with a red and white wire coming out of it but it also has a green and red wire coming out of it.

I need to know what plug the red and white wire run into on the drivers side

I have read wiring diagram after wiring diagram and can not figure this out!!!! Please help I want to hear my motor run!!! A picture would be great if someone can supply one!!!

Thanks for your help

Chad
