My blue moose (always gotcha back)245 122k wagon has within the last week develope a noise that sounds like Lier Jet engine. I start to hear this turbine engine noise when I'm drive on the highway at speeds above 40 MPH up to 85 MPH, with or without the gas peddle applied, it's within the higher decibal ranges and just high enough not to be hidden by BORING NPR talk radio stuff. BTW: The trans is an automatic.
It comes from the front of the car near the dash area....so.......I turned off the radio, blower motor, lights, checked all fluids and tire pressure, no effect. Brake pads have 10k on them. I even check the engine bay to see if my prays for more HP were answered and an angel give me a jet engine. No luck!
Do you think it's the front wheel bearings, vacuum leak? The car does drift to the right...that started 4 weeks ago, no front end work has been done in about 22k miles. The car drives fine otherwise.
I never heard such noise before, it's a new one, if I take it to local repair shoppe it's sure to be a long "what noise, I don't hear a noise" senaro.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Maya
