Has anyone attempted to make a screen to install under the hood air vent? I'd love to find a way to prevent most of the leaves and other debris from getting into that black hole.
I've seen the "snow scoop" that ipd sells and am intruiged. But I'm worried that it would be too brittle in the cold winter mornings that one hit with the snow brush would break it.

Thoughts?
