1990 240 Airbags and Odometers 200

So i am looking at buying a 1990 240 from a guy here in town, but the car has two problems.

First, he was in a slight fender bender, only sustaining damage to the bumper, but the airbag deployed. I know this is an expansive fix, but i don't have an airbag now and could probably live without one. How easy is it to set off the airbags? Could a minor bumper only accident cause it? Or did something big happen and the guy is covering it up? The body is perfect and shows no problems.

Second the odometer is shot, and the car currently reads in the low 100k. The guy said it died about a year ago, and that he does not drive the car much. I know its a simple fix and have no problem fixing it. How important is milage though? if it really is only in the 100-120k's does it matter? My current brick has 188k and is strong.

How much do I knock of blue book for these two 'issues'?
