I have a hole in my head!!!!!! Is it supposed to be there? 200 1982

Thanks to the advice I got on this board, I removed my camshaft timing gear and removed my front oil seal with no trouble. But I'm in a spot now. There's a hole in the back of the area where the seal sits, in the head. I'm praying that it's supposed to be there, maybe to drain oil back to the sump. Can anyone confirm that the hole does or doesn't belong?
