Rear window removal and replacement 200 1980

I couldn't stand it any longer and removed the back side window on my wagon to take care of the rust problem. Those with older wagons know what I mean. The bottom ledge rusts. To my suprise it came out in 5 minutes. From inside I put both feet along the top of the window starting at the back corner and gave steady pressure. It eventually just slipped out. Its sand blasted and POR-15'd. The question is: Do you keep the glass in the rubber trim when you put it back in or do you put in the trim first then the glass?
