Comments re Volvos for sale in my area 700

Looking through the local buy sell I see the following trend. 93/94/95 years there are LOTS of 800 and a few 960's for sale. Earlier years I am seeing (what I think is a disproportionate) amount of 760's for sale.

Observations:

- there were a LOT more 800 series sold in '93-'95 than 900's (specifically 940's).

- The total production numbers for 740 was ~1,000,000; 760 ~220,000. As mentioned, there sure seems to be a lot for sale considering the amount produced. scroll down for numbers

Was the 760 really that much more problematic vs 740?
