neutral safety switch 700

I am buying an 89 744ti with a 91 engine in it. The guy I'm buying it from says that the neutral safety switch is messed up. So bad that sometimes you need to start it with a screwdriver. How easy is it to fix? How long will it take? how much are the parts?
