89 740 trunk lock 700

Grrr.. I bought a 740 5 speed at an estate sale. Runs nice, key opens the doors and starts the car. I brought tools with me in case, put them in the trunk (just push the button to open), and it ran great all the way home. Then I get home and discover the Volvo "auto whenever self locking" truck feature has kicked in, and- guess what- the key I have doesn't fit the trunk.
So, short of driving the car to a locksmith, does anyone know how to get the #$%^ trunk open?
