G'Day All
My first car was a 1980 264GLE which was rough to the point where the motor
would run but would die as soon as you pushed the accelerator to the floor
and if pushed normally it would slowly rev up and would run on after you
released it!, this made driving a novel experience untill I got "jack" of it
and I still dont know why it did that!
has anyone heard of this before? and do they know how to fix it?
My second car was a thrashed 1982 244GL, Quite a step down from the 264
but this car was a shining example of how volvos can cop so much punishement
as it had been stolen, thrashed and vandalized then recoved some months later and returned to the owner who sold it to me!
my third car was another 244GL but 1981 model, it had been pampered from new
and still had the original tyres on it! and had only done 80,000 kays(wouldn't have a clue how many miles that translates to!)which has been sold to a friend now has it sitting in his front yard as it has something wrong with it.
It cuts out as soon as you touch the accelerator.
Now I own a 1986 Volvo 740GLE, which I hate even lifting the bonnet on
because of all the electrical gadgets underneath it.
