If you are changing single lens... 700

I refuse to pay the $100 used for a tailight assy for the wagon so decided to purchase the cheaper OEM backup lens for $15. The bottom red lens is still broken but will have to live with it.

Previous owners had siliconed an 1987 lens in. I had to remove the silicone and then tried a dry fit and it really stuck out. ??

I realized that under the silicone bead was the initial bond from factory--looks like cyanoacrylate (super glue). So the infinite wisdom I am passing along is ensure you chip away this factory bead of glue so the lens will fit flush with other lights of tailight assy.

FWIW, I just used bathtub clear silicone, good from -54C to 200C!

Oh, and these French lights are CRAP. What was Volvo thinking in contracting the lens to this company?
