Brakes 700

It's time to change out the rotors on my 87, 745 (133K miles). Car still has the original one piece hub and rotor. Can anyone say the change to the more normal two piece (separate hub and rotor) is a do it yourself job? I am about a 3 (on a scale of 5) in auto maintenance competence but do not have any special tools. Alternative is to stick with the one piece item which will keep me from using slotted disc (which really improved the stopping ability of my '89 245).
