I smell gas fumes 200 1988

My well maintained 88 wagon with 230K miles have recently started to smell like gasoline when parked after being driven.

I don't see any gasoline dripping nor do I see any big changes in the MPG to conclude that the gas is being spilled out. Its more noticeable on the driver's rear on the outside. However, just today I noticed it around the back seat area too, not too strong though.

Where should I start looking ? I use an aftermarket, Stant (non-locking), gas cap but as I mentioned the smell is more pronounced towards the back of the car on the driver's side.
