b6304 manual transmission 900 1994

Hi,
I want to know information about transmission options for the B6304F engine (volvo 960, 3.0).

I know there is one M90 for white-block (ALU engines), also there are several other M90, for red-blocks (Steel).

I know there excists an adapterplate from www.klracing.se, for using red-block transmissions on white-block engines.

Is the red-block M90 the same strength as the white-block M90?
I also know the fact that there are L and H to the M90 (ratio).

Are there any other options?
I've heard about BW T5 retrofittment, but then I would have to make my own adapterplate?

I hope anyone knows!


Also:
The engine has Automagick transmission.
I will retrofit the engine in a volvo 242DL, will I then need to patch the speedo-signal thru the wire-harness?
eg. does the engine ECU need the speed-signal?

I know the transmission ECU needs the speed-signal, as well as other signals.
I've also heard that to rebuild to manual, I'll just deattatch the auto-ECU and shorten the park-switch wires. Anyone here that can confirm?
