oh my idle 200 1980

The 1980 245 has been ressurected from the dead, and drives great, but I have this little idle problem.


After ive been driving the car around and come to pull into my driveway, I put the car in neutral and coast usually...Well, the RPMs go way down and sometimes shut the car off- but most of the time it will just cycle (really low RPS to Normal and back) a couple times and then stabilize around 1000RPMs.
Obviously this isnt good! I want to be able to coast sometimes without this thing dying.

I know this could be a number of things - but this old Volvo has recieved many replacement parts in the last couple years and Im sure something is just out of adjustment. So, if someone could offer general suggestions id really be happy.
