kickdown cable fixed 200 1989

Well last night I worked on the KD cable.
It was "sticking", like there was crud buildup (hopefully not rust).

As someone's advice on BB a while back, I undid the end at the TB, tilted it upward (vertically) and dripped some ATF into it. I actually had a nice way, I had a syringe (used to admin medication to babies into the mouth (oral)) and a thin tiny adapting tube. I sucked about 3-4 ml ATF into it, and stuck the tiny tube into the KD cable sleeve, and injected the ATF. Surely it went down into the tranny all the way. Worked at it and it quickly freed up. Now the question is will it stand the cold? Not sure how thick the oil will get with our winters, maybe it will be worse than ever. We'll see. At least for now, no more sticky KD cable. I would expect it is designed to function "dry" to be loose, but not sure.

Thanks,
Greg Mustang
