Tail light white socket - sedan; '83' in circle on tail light - year? 200 1986

Got 2 used tail lights in good shape that weren't cracked - tossed my old ones. Turns out the white socket on the right doesn't fit right; gotta find the right one. There's an "83" with a circle around it on the tail light lens very small - is this the year? If so then I know where to look & they must have varied a little by year. If not, I'm lost. Was at a junkyard & from around '86 didn't work. Thanks.
