Cutting dead coils off? 700

My 940T I just got sits a little higher in the front than the back,on a lot of VW's I had we'd cut an unneeded coil or 2 off the springs without any problems,anyone ever do the same with a 7 or 9 series?

Note we weren't cutting a main coil,just the "dead ones" that are at the very end and have no "spring" to them.
