92 Volvo 940 My technicians are scratching their heads on this issue. The overdrive light started to flash and by the stick W & E are flashing. We have replaced the PNP switch and PNT (the throttle switch) After each replacing each item the flashing went away. I drove for a couple days then the flashing would occur again. At first I thought because it was snowing or raining this would occur. But the same issue happen on a sunny day I was driving went over a little bump on the road, and then the light went back on. The error the technician resets "Error 311" for the thermal. He is hesitating replacing the speed sensor. He states there is nothing wrong with the transmission. He states there is an electrical problem going on. He is a specialist on transmission for foreign car. I trust his judgment. Have you come across this problem? Also my headlights regular bean comes off after hitting a small bump but my high bean work. Any suggestions?
Note: I bought this car used Jul 04; the old owner stated the transmission was going. I had to give the car a complete tune-up, replace all belts, fluids, air sensor, and replace air conditioner. Replaced the ball bearings and the right tie rod.
