Alt problems. 200 1985

We’ll hello all.
It’s been awhile since I have been around. Glad to say the old Volvo has been good to me, until just midmorning today. The old girl gave up with a voltage drop. While I was behind an over sized vehicle convoy, doing about a½ mile an hour. I must say that the old girl kept her “Volvo pride” and creped all the way home. SCHWOOO!!

I changed the alternator and was surprised at how smooth the engine runs now.
The belt, runs straighter than it did with the original alternator. “as I only have one alternator belt-long story”
The belt never really was dead on alignment with the pulleys with the original alternator.
The new alternator was a little different in the pulley and cooling fan.
