rear window defroster inoperative 900

The rear window defroster seems to have suddenly stopped working. I don't see any signs of heating across the window so I don't think the problem is a broken wire or two. I checked the fuse -it looed ok- but I swapped in a new one anyway. Still no luck. What should I look for next? Are there any relays asscoiated with this? Thanks!
