headlights wont work all of a sudden 900 1994

Well here i am had a 89 740 and traded it in for a ford f-150. the ford was a headache from the beginning anf then i traded up to a spiffy 2004 honda accord. talk about no soul. Well got rid of th honda and bought a 944 1994 I will never go back and now my wife is hooked to looking for a wagon for her. Well heres the question. I installed a new radio in the 1994 940 and when i was done the headlights wont work. The car had an amp which I bypassed and thats all no errant slips with the wire cutters. I am at a complete loss. The only thing i find odd is 2 black grounds from the amp and 2 pink/ white stripes(hot) left over from the amp. If anyone has any answers Ill be forever grateful and if you get a ticket in Palm Beach Florida, Ill see what i can do for you. Thanks
