Couldn't think of a good subject line for this one.
This has occurred twice in the last 3-4 weeks.
After sitting at an intersection waiting for the light to turn green,
I step on the gas and the engine refuses to accellerate.
No power. Just spits/sputters/coughs enough to get me through the intesection. The first time, I pulled into a parking lot. It idles fine but won't take any gas. I turned off the ignition, started it back up and it ran
perfectly normal for a week and then it did it again. Only this time, while still moving, I put it into neutral, turned off the ignition, started it back up and continued on driving normally. That was two weeks ago and has't happened since. To me, it's acting like a clogged catalytic convertor
but as I said, the symptoms go away after I turn off the engine and start her back up. So I'm tending to rule out the cat. convertor.
Couldn't find past postings related to this. Any ideas as to the cause?
Thanks. Mark
