Windshield recommendation 200 1983

Hi all,

On the way home last PM we took a rock to the windshield of our 83 245 V8. What started as a small star was a foot-long crack by the time we had gone the remaining 3 miles to the house.

I'm already thinking of replacing the windshield with one from a 91 or newer to take advantage of the integrated seal, but am wondering if one brand fits better than another (not even sure what the choices will be, but I thought I remembered that "Pilkington" was a good one).

Any advice/installation tips/heads-ups/BTDTs are appreciated!

BTW, this car is about 12 miles short of the quarter-million mark (249,988 as of this PM) . . . and all but the first 30k or so are ours--so what's the next badge?
