M47 problems, can I fit a 940 m47 there instead? 200

Hello all,

My 75 244 is having problems with its M47... The syncros on 1st gear are quite worn and the 5th gear is noisy.

I got a free '94 940 Alu case M47 from a friend, can I make this fit in my car?

Will the rear transmission cover from the older 47 fit on to the newer 47 so I can have a speedo drive? (And will the flange interchange...)
