bilstein touring class shocks 700

just got my struts and shocks in today...going to do the suspension this w.e. anyway, i was surprise to see that i can push the shock in from its extended position by just applying pressure on both ends with my bare hands. believe me, im not that strong.... is this normal for the bilstein t/c shock?
