Fuel economy 1800

I have a 1972 ES with fuel injection. I currently get about 17 MPG, which I know is a little low (used to get about 20). I’m curious what other similar vehicles get? And, if I’m significantly under, where could the problem be? – I know that I’m getting gas in the crankcase, but that’s a recent problem (it corresponds to the drop to 17 MPG, and is probably a ring or valve issue, so that’ll be fun). But, even before this new issue, I was getting 20 to 22 MPG at BEST! Thanks for any help or information.
