RPM's but no power 200 1988

My 88 wagon makes RPM's but has no power,My son's 242GT will run circles around mine. My other wagon that I sold in September had more power with less compression than the 245 I have now.I've got 165 PSI all the way across on the engine,I've fixed all of the vacumn leaks even those under the dash,a new intake gasket has been put on it.The head has been cleaned of carbon, new fuel filters on both pumps. It starts fine cuts off fine.I checked the timing and it is set at 12degs the thing that I dont know about is when reved up to say 3500 rpm's the timing goes to about 30degs advance is this correct. I check the Knock sensor by tapping on the intake and nothing happens to the timming marks when checked with the timming light,I would think that the timming is suppose to retard, could I have a bad fuel presure regulator what about a stopped up fuel check valve. I changed out the ignition computer that didn't help on the timming advance.I havn't changed the timming belt yet since I got the car could the belt be a tooth off and have this problem even with the car starting like it does.I changed out the O rings on the injectors. The car gets 22.5 mpg
around town I don't know about highway yet. What about a bad computer. All of the grounds have been cleaned. The other car was a automatic this car is a M46 with a 3.73 gear in the back, it should run stronger than the automatic.Don't nobody say change wires cap rotor and plugs this probem goes beyond that.I do get a slight stall are hesatation when starting off in the mornings cold. The cat is not stopped up and the O2 checks out fine.If anybody has had this problem please reply to this posted message I could use some advice since I'm out of what to do next.
Thanks
Rodney
