she runs...well, mostly 200

finally got my 83 242DL running today. after swapping an engine and trying to trace down bugs. found out that i had to jumper the fuse for the fuel pump and for the first couple times starting i had to give it a little starting fluid. now it starts up fine as long as i jumper the fuses. is this a bad relay? also she seemed to pulse slightly at idle. i did notice that the red wire going into the distributor broke and i dont know if it did it before i got the car started or while i was checking everything. got another distributor im going to slap in on friday.
