Original Tires - 1992 960 Sedan 900

Hi eveyrone. Does anyone remember what the original tires were that came on the 1992 960. If so were they a good match.
I would also like to know why the recommended tire pressure setup for the cars posted in the glovebox or door well is in conflict with the tire pressure rated on the tire itself.
