Auto Transmission Slips When Car Is Cold - You Too ?? 200

Hello. After Resolving problem with A totally slipping tranny last week due to coolant getting into atf thanks to bad radiator which i resolved by changing radiator and flushing atf and putting in new atf i am now very paranoid about auto tranny. On to my situation : My auto tranny(AW70 in a 1988 240DL with 133,000 miles) has always and continues to slip when car is dead cold like in morning after sitting overnite or sitting say more then 4 hours. Slips for first couple minutes then is okay thereafter. This did not happen when I first got car past summer when it was warmer temperature. First noticed in late fall when it started getting cold out. Still is cold here(NJ). About 30 degrees farenheit. So still is happening. Question : Does this happen to any of you also ? What if anything can be done about ? Is this "normal" given age of car/tranny ? I guess could let it(atf) really warm up for say 5x minutes then maybe it wouldn't happen ? Your feedback & comments & suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks much all.
