Is a 73-74 indicator switche interchangeable with a 69-72 one? (2 pics) 140-160

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows if an indicator switch from a '73 140 can be used in a '72 model? Ive been through 3 of them - they always seem to fall apart at the foot of the stalk. I got hold of a '73 version and it looks a lot sturdier (mostly metal). Only prob is that it only has 4 connectors on the back whereas the '72 has 8.

I did a search through the forum but it didnt really help. Ive attached some pics (the black one is the '73 model).
