Got an intercooler for 81 GLT. Questions about installation. 200

I got an intercooler off an 85 244 today and have a few questions. I'm totally new to Turbos. This unit will go on an 81 242 GLT.

1. Off the driver's side hardpipe, about three inches from the intercooler, a 41 inch long (1/4 ID?) hose was connected and went across the engine to a "T". Straight out the other end of the "T" thirteen more inches of hose went to a "switch?" mounted on the right fender. This "switch" has a ground wire and a blue wire. There is eighteen inches of hose that comes off this "switch." This hose went to a hole in the hard elbow by the air sensor. Off the other part of the "T", twelve inches of hose went to the bottom passenger side of the turbo unit. What is this "switch"? Should I hook it up on the 81 exactly like I found it on the 85? Is the 81 even wired for this "switch"? Or is this the switch that I can leave out of the system entirely?

2. There's also some kind of switch with two spades on it that is mounted in the lower radiator hose? I don't know how to wire this on the 81, or even what it does.

3. The switch that I pulled from near the clutch pedal has a vacuum line that forks into two lines. The switch itself has a male and female wire coming off it. The part number is 175-1046-1346952. Is this the overboost switch? Should it replace the one on the 81?

Any help understanding all this would be appreciated. Like I said, I'm new to Turbos and learning as I go.
