Best & Resonable Struts and Suspension Tread 200

Here's the drill gang. I'm creating the thread to end all threads in respect to owners about to purchase Struts, Strut Mounts and Suspension Components.

What I need to make this successful, Your Inputs! I would like to keep it to the following items:

For continuity PLEASE, "Ctrl C" the following 6 steps, Reply, "Ctrl V" and edit when making your post.

1. Year, Model
2. Driving Style (Fast Mostly Highway, Slower City more Potholes, etc.)
3. Maker of CURRENT STRUTS and Suspension Parts
4. Why you chose, say a BOGE over a Bilstein or whatever.
5. What you've used in the past and your likes or dislikes about the product.
6. What you're looking to gain from this thread.

Reason why I'm doing this is simple. It's hard to sort through all the noise of many posts scattered all over the board only to get half answers or still left wondering how did the parts work out or wear out, who was a good distributor and were there any problems with the installs not to mention the ever evolving work of composites and techniques.

I have a '92 VW GTI as a another ride and what I found is that only 6 months after replacing nearly the whole front suspension that I blew out the new strut mounts. Not wanting to replace them a fourth time I found that the polyurethane strut mounts or a newer VR6 and G60's mounts last far longer than the stockers. I want to ensure that my purchase of struts and so forth are equally matched for my '88 240GL so that I don't run into the same problems and I'm looking for this to be the thread for all of us to be able to add to and draw from based on our experiences. Well let's cut the ribbon and start making our lives a little bit easier!
