245T OD kicking out on interstate at high speed -- Help? 200 1984

My white manual transmission 245T has been kicking out of overdrive at 70MPH on the interstate. It makes a fearsome CHUNK and scare the sh#t out of me, Has anyone else had this problem and know a way to fix it? Would it help if I changed my transmission fluid? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
