92 940 Turbo Dying 900 1992

Hi guys this is my first post and i am a new volvo owner. Never had one before.
My problem is that the car will run great and all of a sudden the acceleration when you step on the pedal will do nothing and it almost has a pressure almost like your riding the brakes. The car at this point will flash all of the dash warning lights and then die. No check engine light comes on and it starts right back up. This will happen off and on. Sometimes it i'll go weeks without anything and then sometimes three times in one day. It also does this in any type of weather, not just wet weather. I need Help PLEASE!!! I've changed my wires, oil, and air filter. The car has about 70K miles and i'm lost.
